The story
Opposite Tainan's Confucius Temple, entered under the Qing-era Pan Palace stone arch, Fuzhong Street was once "Plank Bridge Head" for its wooden bridge over the Fang Creek. Pedestrianised, its old houses now host craft shops, ice desserts and snacks, making it a busy weekend stroll.
