The story

Madou's old street is a district rather than one road, running from upper Xingzhong Road to lower Zhongshan/Zhongzheng Roads, with Baroque shophouses from the 1920s–30s. The 1938 Dianji Theatre is its landmark; many facades hide behind signboards, so look up. Madou wanguo rice cakes and pomelos are the local fame.
