The story
Jiali, formerly Siaolang, was a Siraya village site. Zhongshan Road developed in the Taisho era and keeps several Baroque-style facades; Jintang Temple (founded 1698) is renowned for Koji pottery and cut-porcelain work, and its triennial Siaolang pilgrimage is one of Tainan's five great processions.
