The story
Dalongdong, founded after Mengjia but before Dadaocheng, sat where the Tamsui and Keelung rivers meet. In the Qing era local gentry built a single row of 44 linked shophouses here, a busy market street. The houses have mostly been rebuilt, but nearby Bao'an Temple, the Confucius Temple and the Chen Yueji mansion are well worth the trip.
