The story

Xishu is a 300-year-old coastal village in south Tainan whose salty soil supposedly gave the name. Its Wanhuang Temple keeps a century-old "turtle offering" rite, and recent community murals have turned the lanes into a photo spot, close to Golden Coast sunsets.
