The story
Guiyang Street Sec. 2 is often called Taipei's oldest street. In the Qing era Bangka thrived as northern Taiwan's biggest river port, giving rise to the saying 'One Tainan, two Lukang, three Bangka'. Qingshan Temple's procession each lunar October is still a major Wanhua festival. After the river silted up, trade moved to Dadaocheng and most shophouses were rebuilt.
