The story
Dajia's old street radiates from Zhenlan Temple, and the shophouses along Shuntian and Jianggong roads still trace the outline of the old Qing-era town. The temple's annual Mazu pilgrimage is one of the largest religious processions in the world, and it sustains a cluster of bakeries, taro snack shops and the town's traditional rush-weaving trade. Nearby stands the granite Lin Family Chastity Arch from the Qing dynasty.
