The story
Shuangxi sits where two streams meet and was a Qing-era transshipment point on the Tamsui–Yilan trail. Chang'an Street, dating from the Qing, has the rare Sanzhong Temple honouring Wen Tianxiang, the century-old Lin Yihe herbal shop and a working blacksmith. Barely touristy, it keeps a genuine small-town rhythm.
