The story
Sichongxi's springs were developed early in the Japanese era, and by around 1930 there were public baths and several inns; it was counted among Taiwan's four great hot springs. The Qingquan Japanese-style spa was once the Yamaguchi inn, where a Japanese prince reputedly honeymooned in the 1930s. The spa street is small today, and the hot spring park has a free foot bath.
