Wenshui was the goods-exchange hub for Shitan, Tai'an and Dahu, at the old end of Highway 6. After the highway was rerouted and Expressway 72 opened, the traffic vanished and the street became a quiet place to walk. It is small with few shops, best as a stop en route to Dahu's strawberry farms or Tai'an hot springs.
