The story
Fengshan's farms and garrisons needed tools and blades, so blacksmiths clustered in a lane off Sanmin Road — at its peak fourteen forges operated within a few dozen metres. Mechanisation and imported tools have left only three or four still working, making it one of the few places to watch traditional smithing.
