The story
Once 'Nana' village, Nuannuan was a Qing-era transshipment point on the upper Keelung River and a starting point toward Yilan. Road widening in 1977 removed most old buildings, leaving an ordinary town street. Nearby Nuandong Gorge and the riverside park are the real draws.
