Shenkeng was a collecting point for tea and camphor shipped out along the Jingmei River, and keeps many red-brick shophouses. Thanks to good spring water it became a 'tofu town', serving stinky, grilled and braised tofu in every form. A huge banyan marks the entrance, and weekends are packed.
