The story
Yuanlin's old town is the grid in front of the railway station: Guangming Street is lined with clothing and shoe shops, Zhongzheng Road with snack stalls, and Bo'ai Road hosts the morning market. The district is densely redeveloped, with only scattered old facades, but the long-established local ba-wan (meatball) shops are reason enough to stop.
