The story
Zhuolan is a Hakka fruit-growing town on the Da'an River, with its old market quarter in Zhongjie village. The Daguangming Theatre, opened in 1956, recalls busier days and is believed to have closed around the 1970s. Little has been written about the old street itself, which is now mostly ordinary homes and shops.
