The story

Zhutang's old street, along today's Zhongxing Street, once had Taiwan Sugar's narrow-gauge cane railway running down it, with the village station where a gas-supply shop now stands. The station was demolished and the track paved over when the sugar industry declined, though an inspection railcar made a nostalgic return in 2019. It is a residential street, best combined with the village's giant banyan and kapok avenue.
